CSA

What is Community Supported Agriculture?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is way for people in the community to purchase shares in a farm's seasonal harvest and provide you, our customer, with locally grown produce direct from the farm to your plate. A share is purchased in advance of the start of the season in order to defray the upfront cost of seed purchase and planting. In return, shareholders receive a good value for fresh, local vegetables and get to know the farmers who grow their food.

What is a share?

Share from early August
(corn & potatoes underneath)
A share entitles the shareholder to a weekly harvest of fresh produce. A full-range of vegetables and herbs will be offered for the twenty-week season. The season runs from late June to the end of October. Produce is available as harvested. A share is approximately a half bushel size and is pre-packed so that all members receive the same amount.

We believe in promoting seasonal vegetables. By that we mean, your share will be filled with a variety of vegetables as they harvest in the season.

We are partnering with our long time customer, McCue Garden Center, who will be supplying herbs and edible flowers.

Where are your pickup-sites?

We are offering four pick-up sites: Concord, Woburn, Ipswich and Gloucester.
